Sega is celebrating the Japanese launch of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, with a special live stream on January 15 at 20:00 JST on Youtube and Periscope. It will feature Kazuma Kiryu's voice actor Takaya Kuroda, Goro Majima's voice actor Hidenari Ugaki, and the voice of new protagonist Ichiban Kasuga, Kazuhiro Nakaya.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon releases for PlayStation 4 on January 16, 2020, in Japan, and is scheduled for a worldwide release sometime in 2020.
Yakuza, also known as Ryu ga Gotoku, is a series created by Toshihiro Nagoshi and SEGA, beginning in 2005 with Yakuza, and ending series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu's journey with Yakuza 6 in 2016. Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the eighth main release in the franchise is set to start a new series protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga, who debuted in Yakuza Online.
Several spin-offs to the series include Yakuza Ishin and Yakuza Kenzan, historical adventures which use the characters of the Yakuza series in place of historical figures, and Yakuza: Dead Souls an apocalyptic 3rd-person zombie shooter.
